How can the Parent Manifesto online program help me?

Parenting author, psychologist and mother, Jodie Benveniste has helped many parents solve their most challenging parenting problems.

Through her work, she has discovered that most parents today feel:

  • Pressure to raise amazing kids

  • Scrutinised – both by the media and by people they know

  • Low in confidence and unsure as to whether they’re raising their kids ‘right’

  • Less happy than they would like to be

  • Unable to be the parents they want to be, especially in the ‘heat of the moment’ when things are going wrong

This program is designed for parents who identify with these feelings. It helps you turn your parenting around so that you can enjoy the best of family life, without having to adopt a parenting style that isn’t right for your family.

What can I learn from the Parent Manifesto online program?

During the program, Manifesto Parents learn how to:

  • Enjoy all parenting has to offer

  • Confidently create a stable and loving family life

  • Develop a set of family guidelines that directly relate to their values

  • Strengthen relationships with everyone in their family

  • Develop the ability to stay strong when things are not going so well

  • Stop paying attention to the media,‘well meaning’ friends and the parenting advice of complete strangers!

  • Take the focus away from feeling guilty and direct it towards what’s really important to them

  • Connect with like-minded parents online who they can share and learn from

  • Create lasting change in their family

How does the online program work?

You signup for a 12 week program. You gain access to the Parent Manifesto member area with your own login forum name and dashboard. Each week, you gain access to new resources, activities, videos and information.

You also receive a copy of The Parent Manifesto book via mail (for the hard copy) or via email (for the e-book).  You’ll read roughly a chapter each week.

Weekly emails are sent to help guide you through the program and direct you to the week’s activities so you get the most out of the program.

Through the program, you create a personal manifesto (or set of family guidelines), experiences are shared in the forum, confidence grows, friendships are formed and you gain infinitely more than you would by reading a book alone. If you prefer to work alone, you can do so at your own pace and within your own time.

You can request a mentor (at no extra charge) – somebody who has been through the program and who can offer advice at each stage.

In addition, you can directly receive advice from parenting author, psychologist and mother of two, Jodie Benveniste for problems that need a little extra attention (without a $200 per hour price tag!)

What do we do in the program week by week?

The program is broken up into bite-size chunks because we know you're busy! Each week, we work on a few short activities so you only need to set aside 1 hour a week. Here is an outline of the week by week program:

You sign into the member's area of the website to access the program

Each week, you access a video from Jodie and activities and information for the week

You also access the community and connect with like-minded others in the forum

What’s expected of me?

Real life changes do take some effort but we also know you're time poor!

That's why we've broken the program up into manageable chunks. You can gain a huge amount from this program by spending less than an hour a week. You can work at your own pace and from the comfort of your own home.

You’ll roughly read a section of the book each week and participate (privately) in exercises that will help you create your own manifesto, and teach you ways to enjoy a better family life. In the online community, you’ll have the opportunity to share experiences (or not), as you feel comfortable.

How much time do I need to spend on the program?

We know you are busy! So we've broken the program up into manageable chunks. If you set aside an hour a week, you will gain an enormous amount out of the program.

Do I need to attend classes at certain times?

No! There are no specific 'class' times. The resources are available to you from the beginning of each week, and you can do everything in your own time. But I will be available to keep you on track and assist where needed.

How old do my children need to be?

This program is suitable for parents with children of all ages. We've had parents with babies through to teenagers involved, and they all say it has helped enormously with their parenting.

How long does the online program last?

Like the program name suggests, it’s a 12 week journey with a beginning and an end date.

However, parents who have been through the program will tell you that the lessons learnt will last for life.

How much does the online program cost?

How much would you pay for a more loving and peaceful family life?

Well, this program costs only $147 for 12 weeks of inspiration, practical tools and ongoing support.

Our Manifesto Parents tell us that, for what they gained from the program, this was incredible value.

Will I have to adopt and live by a particular parenting style?

Only your own!  The Parent Manifesto is based on the principle that ‘the only right way to raise your kids is YOUR way’.

Having said that, you will learn how to uncover what’s really important to you and your family, and how to live by those values.

You’ll also learn tools that will help you remain committed to your plan, even in the face of the day-to-day struggles we all experience as parents.

How did the Parent Manifesto online program start?

The Parent Manifesto book was initially written by Jodie Benveniste with the help of 80 parents who provided input and feedback via a private Facebook Group.

During this ‘pilot’ phase of the program, the benefit of working through the program with a group of other parents became overwhelmingly evident. That’s why the online community remains a critical component of the program. The community is there to access but it is not compulsary to get involved. You do what suits you!

Who is Jodie Benveniste?

Jodie Benveniste is a parenting author, psychologist, and mum of two children.

As the director of Parent Wellbeing, Jodie has met many parents who lack confidence, feel pressure to ‘get parenting right’, and who find that following others people’s parenting styles doesn’t necessarily work for them.

When developing this program, Jodie also drew on her own experience of struggling with the difficulties of being a parent. She’s written about these experiences on her blog and in her books.

She wanted to stop the cycle of low confidence and unhappiness that many parents experience by helping them uncover their own parenting strength and confidence through defining their values and developing their own criteria to live by.
